Dr. James Hansen, director of the NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies in New York, gave a speech at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C., given to the Worldwatch Institute.

In his speech, he says “Special interests have blocked the transition to our renewable energy future,” Hansen writes in an opinion piece posted on the institute’s Web site. “Instead of moving heavily into renewable energies, fossil fuel companies choose to spread doubt about global warming, just as tobacco companies discredited the link between smoking and cancer. Methods are sophisticated, including funding to help shape school textbook discussions of global warming.”

“CEOs of fossil energy companies know what they are doing and are aware of the long-term consequences of continued business as usual,” Hansen continues. “In my opinion, these CEOs should be tried for high crimes against humanity and nature.”

Yeah hold the press James, you haven’t proved your talking points to the American public yet so what makes you think that you’ve proved your point to the CEOs of big oil.  Just tell me one thing, why is it the CEOs of big oil’s responsibility to develop alternative energy?  Global Warming is about as real as the booger man, the booger bear, and other childhood scare scams.

Why don’t you readily admit your little computer models are crap and that you really can’t predict doom and gloom?  The latest scientific rants is global cooling or did you not get the memo on that?

If we come up with alternative energy, it probably won’t be big oil developing it.  It will be a free market solution that develops it.  That’s what the free market does and they are damn good at it.

I’ve got a better idea, why don’t we try lying scientists for crimes against humanity?  It would make sense to me because you guys try to convince us that by virtue of us breathing in oxygen and breathing out carbon dioxide that we’re making the earth hotter based on the lie that you continue to spread.

Also if global warming really exists, which I haven’t seen exclusive proof that it does, why is it the USA’s responsibility to pay all of the money to fix it?  I mean if it exists it’s a world problem, shouldn’t the rest of the world be investing in this?  I guess the rest of the world isn’t convinced your little lie is real either.

Also you guys love using the cancer argument but your proof isn’t as solid as the science is with cancer and cigarette smoking.  Please pick another example that would prove your point.

Personally speaking, we here in Texas had a cooler winter and are having a cooler summer.  So where has all the warming gone?  Elsewhere, In Germany their coal consumption was up this winter.  Evidently it was too cold to fight any warming either.

Our earth rotates and it wobbles.  Rotations are faster than the wobbles.  This can result in changing weather conditions since various parts of the world change positions during the wobble.  I’ve said many times that this probably changes the magnetic fields responsible for weather and it’s a natural occurrence.  I do not subscribe to the global warming scam because it’s a dishonest way to get money for funding your little projects and spread fear.  Honestly, I don’t have time for fear.

This year alone has erased 100 years of your so called warming.  Coincidence?  I think not.  Also I don’t think scientists know enough about all aspects of weather.  It’s apparent when April 1997 saw a blizzard in Abilene Texas that dropped 6 inches of snow and the weather man didn’t forecast snow.  Fast forward to now, I’m supposed to believe you can accurately tell me what the weather is doing?
